The motivation to serve as President of the World Alliance is the outcome of my long commitment to the YMCAs. Deeply inspired by its mission, I have been involved with the YMCA movement since 1988. I strongly believe YMCAs should be engaged in continuous search of the contemporary YMCA mission based on Paris Basis and Challenge 21.  This unique characteristic of the YMCA makes it possible to adapt the program patterns according to the need of time, relevant to our own communities and cultures, while being faithful to our Christian principles.
